Alloy 800 is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with moderate strength and good resistance to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures. It is particularly useful for high-temperature equipment in the petrochemical industry because the alloy doesn't form the embrittling sigma phase after long time exposure at 1200°F (649°C). Excellent resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is another important feature of alloy 800.
Alloy 800 is a solution heat treated (2100°F/1150°C), controlled-carbon version of alloy 800 with improved elevated temperature properties. It has improved creep and stress-rupture characteristics in the 1100°F (593°C) to 1800°F (982°C) temperature range. INCOLOY alloys belong to the category of super austenitic stainless steels. These alloys have nickel-chromium-iron as the base metals, with additives such as molybdenum, copper, nitrogen and silicon. These alloys are known for their excellent strength at elevated temperatures and good corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments.

Incoloy Alloy 800 bars are a thermally treated solution at a temperature of 2100 F. This Incoloy 800 Bars heat treated, controlled carbon version comes with an increase in its elevated temperature properties. Incoloy 800 round bar suppliers in Mumbai note that in the temperature range that ranges between 1100 F to about 1800 F, the alloy has improved creep and stress rupture characteristics. When Incoloy 800 Round Bars are exposed to heat from welding or other operations, care should be taken to avoid sensitization if the material is to be pickled or subjected to other aggressive environments. Sensitization is not a problem in most high-temperature applications.

Incoloy 800 Plate is designed with a superior chemical composition of nickel, iron, and chromium coupled with additions of copper, silicon, and molybdenum. The high strength Inconel 800 Plate exhibits enhanced corrosion resistance properties coupled with superior oxidation resistance in an array of stress-induced environments.
