317L stainless steel is a low-carbon grade 317 stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in acidic and alkaline environments. It is resistant to corrosive media such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. Due to its high molybdenum content and low carbon content, 317L stainless steel offers excellent resistance to chloride corrosion, making it suitable for seawater environments and media with high chloride concentrations.
The lower carbon content of 317L stainless steel makes it less susceptible to intergranular corrosion during welding, improving the corrosion resistance of welded joints. 317L stainless steel maintains excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties in high-temperature environments, making it suitable for high-temperature equipment. It is commonly used in chemical equipment, marine engineering, medical devices, and the pulp and paper industry.
