Hastelloy C2000 alloy broadens the range of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy family with the addition of copper which allows for resistance to an extensive range of corrosive chemicals including sulfuric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric acids over large temperature ranges. It also has a high chromium content, to maximize its resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen. Molybdenum and copper provide excellent corrosion resistance to reducing media while the chromium content gives good oxidizing resistance.
Like other nickel alloys, Hastelloy C2000 is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). It is able to withstand a wide range of oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and exhibits outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.
Hastelloy Alloy C2000 Flanges consist of an alloy of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, tungsten, and iron. This combination makes it highly resistant to corrosion in even the harshest environments due to its excellent resistance to oxidizing and reducing acids. It also has excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance and is highly resistant to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, even in high chloride media such as seawater or brines. It also has good thermal stability in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres up to 1500°F (815°C).
Hastelloy C2000 Flanges have superior mechanical properties, making them ideal for many applications. It has a high-temperature strength and can be used in extreme temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2000°F (1093°C). Furthermore, it maintains its strength throughout this range of temperatures while providing a low expansion coefficient. This means it will not warp or buckle when undergoing thermal cycling due to temperature changes. Its combination of good ductility with exceptional tensile strength also makes it ideal for use in many different industries, including oil & gas production, chemical processing, power generation, pollution control equipment, and food processing equipment.

Hastelloy C2000 Slip On Raised Flanges are used in various applications due to their superior properties. Some common applications include pressure vessels; piping systems; heat exchangers; valves; pumps; columns; condensers; reactors; tanks; process lines; reactors; and more. They can be used in industries such as chemical processing plants, oil refineries, petroleum production plants, and nuclear power plants where corrosive elements are present or expected to be encountered during operation. Also, Hastelloy C2000 Blind Raised Flanges can be used in food processing facilities where there is exposure to various chemicals such as acids or alkalis which may cause other materials to rust or break down over time but not with this type of material specifically designed and manufactured with superior corrosion resistance capabilities. Hastelloy C2000 RTJ Flanges can also be used in marine environments where seawater may contact the material. Still, again there should be no problem because the material is designed for these conditions with an excellent performance against saltwater corrosion resistance. It is one of its major benefits over standard stainless steel components due to its higher chromium content.
