What is Super Duplex Steel S32750？

Super Duplex Steel UNS S32750, also known as 2507 duplex steel. It also has other tags: Grade S32750, DIN 1.4410, F53. Super Duplex stainless S32750 like Duplex Steel, is a mixed microstructure of austenite and ferrite (50/50) which has improved strength over ferritic and austenitic steel grades. The main difference is that Super Duplex has a higher molybdenum and chromium content which gives the material greater corrosion resistance than standard duplex grades.

General Properties of Super Duplex Steel UNS32750

UNS S32750 super duplex stainless steel based on 25% chromium, 7% nickel and significant additions of molybdenum, manganese and nitrogen. Improved corrosion resistance in comparison to Duplex Steel and greater tensile and yield strength. The super duplex stainless steel has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The high chromium, molybdenum, and nickel levels provide excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and general corrosion.
