S32750 Alloy Products belong to a class of stainless steel called as super duplex. S32750 Duplex Stainless Steel material has high resistance over chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and high tensile strengths. S32750 Super Duplex piping material is therefore used to utilize these properties in the chemical industries and environments where chlorine ion concentration is high. UNS S32750 F53 piping Products withstand the chlorine ion corrosion because of the high content of chromium in them accounting for about 24% of the total weight. UNS S32750 F55 raw material composes of 24-26% chromium, 3-4.5%molybdenum and 6.-8% nickel in it. This composition provides the qualities of less pitting corrosion and localized corrosion. Super Duplex UNS S32750 material is also best against uniform corrosion with especially acidic contents.
Stainless steel Super Duplex 2507 is designed to handle highly corrosive conditions and situations were high strength is required. High molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content in Super Duplex 2507 help the material withstand pitting and crevice corrosion. The material is also resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, to erosion corrosion, to corrosion fatigue, to general corrosion in acids. This alloy has good weldability and very high mechanical strength. As a super duplex stainless steel, it combines the desirable aspects of both austenitic and ferritic grades. The higher chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen contents result in a Pitting Resistance Equivalent number (PREN) of >41, providing pitting and crevice corrosion resistance superior to austenitic and duplex stainless steels in almost all corrosive media, and a Critical Pitting Temperature exceeding 50°C.
Supplied in the annealed condition, it achieves yield strengths of 80ksi (550Mpa), greater than most austenitic and duplex stainless steel grades. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment but can be strengthened by cold working. It also exhibits a low coefficient of thermal expansion and higher heat conductivity than austenitic steels and is suitable for working temperatures up to 300°C. Alloy 32750 is listed in NACE MR 0175 for sour service and having gained ASME Approval for Pressure Vessel applications it can be used in a wide variety of applications.
A pipe fitting is used to change the direction of the pipe. The simplest way to do it is to bend the pipe. However, it will stretch and thin out the outer walls of the pipe. It will also thicken the inner wall of the pipe. Hence Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings are used which are an enhanced grade of Duplex fittings Super Duplex 2507 Pipe Fittings hence have a higher PREN pitting number. A higher pitting number indicates superior pitting resistance.

Offshore platforms and subsea equipment: S32750 is often used for pipeline fittings, flanges, valves, and other components in offshore oil and gas platforms due to its excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It is also used in riser systems, sea water systems, and pressure vessels.
Downhole equipment: For environments with aggressive corrosive conditions, such as downhole oilfield equipment, S32750 provides long-lasting performance.
Process piping: S32750 is ideal for piping systems handling aggressive chemicals, such as acids, chlorides, and other corrosive fluids. It is used in reactors, heat exchangers, and storage tanks for its resistance to both local and general corrosion.
Sulfuric acid production: The alloy's ability to resist corrosion in highly acidic environments makes it ideal for sulfuric acid production plants.
Water treatment: Super duplex stainless steel S32750 is commonly used in desalination plants for seawater intake systems, desalination pipes, and filtration systems. Its resistance to chloride-induced corrosion is critical in these applications, where seawater is treated to produce potable water.
Cooling systems: S32750 is used in heat exchangers, cooling systems, and other components that come in contact with seawater or other corrosive cooling agents. It provides durability in the high-pressure, high-temperature environments found in power plants.
Nuclear and fossil fuel plants: The alloy is also utilized in nuclear and fossil fuel power plants for reactor cooling systems, particularly when cooling fluids are corrosive or have high salinity.
Shipbuilding: Marine applications, such as ship hulls, seawater piping, and ballast systems, benefit from S32750's resistance to corrosion in saltwater environments.
Offshore equipment: Equipment exposed to marine environments, including offshore oil rigs and pipelines, use S32750 fittings to ensure long-term durability.
