Alloy 825, often referred to as Incoloy 825, is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper and titanium (NiCr21Mo), supplied in the hot worked and annealed condition. It achieves good mechanical properties from cryogenic to medium-high temperatures (5400C) and can be significantly strengthened through cold working.
Incoloy 825 is highly resistant to corrosion. It has a high nickel content, sufficient to resist chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, and a very stable austenite structure. The levels of molybdenum and copper enable the alloy to resist reducing agents and acids. Chromium gives resistance to oxidising conditions, such as nitric acid solutions, nitrates and oxidising salts. The alloy is titanium stabilised to resist pitting and intergranular attack after fabrication, particularly welding, which includes heating in the critical sensitisation temperature range (650°C – 760°C).
Alloy 825 offers exceptional resistance to corrosion by sulphuric and phosphoric acids and is often the most cost effective alloy in sulphuric acid service. This nickel steel alloy’s chemical composition is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments. It is similar to alloy 800 but has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion. It has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking, and to localized attack such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Alloy 825 is especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids. This nickel steel alloy is used for chemical processing, pollution-control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production, and pickling equipment.
The Incoloy 825 Round Bar is popular for its high resistance in many chemically corrosive environments. The Incoloy 825 Round Bar is primarily known for providing excellent resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and intergranular corrosion. The presence of chromium in the Inconel 825 round bar improves its resistance against various oxidizing salts, nitrates, and nitric acids. Proper heat treating the titanium-based Nickel Alloy 825 Rod helps to stabilize it against intergranular corrosion sensitization.
The UNS N08825 Square Bar is known for its resistance against localized and general corrosion in a wide range of environments. The excellent mechanical properties of Din 2.4858 Flat Bar make it appealing for different industries like nuclear fuel processing, pollution control, acid production, etc. The 825 Incoloy Hex Bar is also used in making equipment that handles radioactive waste. Our ASME SB425 UNS N08825 Square Bar goes through several quality and safety checks in government-approved labs conducted by third parties before they are delivered.

Incoloy 825 bars are a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with the addition of molybdenum and copper that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing conditions. These bars have high mechanical strength, superior fabric ability characteristics, and good weld ability compared to other alloys. Incoloy 825 is widely used in chemical processing equipment, pulp & paper industry components, heat exchangers, petrochemical piping systems, valves & fittings, marine structures such as propeller shafts and nuclear fuel reprocessing plants. This alloy also provides superior protection against chloride stress corrosion cracking at temperatures up to about 1500°F (816°C). Its corrosion resistance properties and extreme toughness make it ideal for use in challenging industrial applications.
Inconel 825 Round Bars are notorious for their ability to withstand high temperatures and corrosive environments, making them ideal for use in industries such as chemical processing, oil and gas, and nuclear power. However, to maintain their impressive properties, proper heat treatment is essential. Heat treatment is a process that involves heating and cooling a material to alter its physical and mechanical properties. In the case of Inconel 825, heat treatment can increase its strength, ductility, and resistance to corrosion. Without proper heat treatment, Inconel 825 Round Bars may fail to perform as expected in harsh environments, potentially leading to safety hazards and costly repercussions. Therefore, it is crucial to adhere to the recommended heat treatment guidelines to ensure the longevity and reliability of Inconel 825 Round Bars.
Incoloy 825 Bars are widely used in different industries, including chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine engineering. They are commonly used for manufacturing heat exchangers, pipes, tubes, valves, instrumentation, and other components in chemical processing plants due to their excellent resistance to corrosive environments.
They are also used in the oil and gas industry for producing wellhead equipment, downhome tubing, and other components that come into contact with corrosive fluids. Additionally, Incoloy 825 Bars are utilized in marine engineering to manufacturing equipment exposed to seawater, such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
