Stainless Steel 321H Material Features

Stainless steel 321H is a general purpose austenitic stainless steel that is stabilized against carbide precipitation and designed to work within the carbide precipitation temperature range 427 to 816°C (800 to 1500°F). It is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and can be hardened only by cold working. Titanium is added to the alloy's composition to suppress grain boundary chromium carbide precipitation and reduce susceptibility to intergranular corrosion.

Stainless Steel 321H alloy has a higher carbon content than standard 321 alloy which gives it a higher strength and improved high-temperature properties. It is often used for items that require strength and resistance to rust and heat. These items include furnace parts, heat exchangers, and exhaust systems that need to withstand tough conditions.
