It’s an ideal solution for high-temperature applications due to its excellent resistance to carburization, oxidation, and nitriding atmospheres. With a nominal composition of 36% Ni, 21% Cr and 0.7% C, this material provides superior corrosion resistance in many media, including up to 10% sulfuric acid environments. Combining these elements gives it good strength properties over a wide range of temperatures from cryogenic up to 1125°F (593°C).
