A Brazilian industrial client recently completed a successful procurement cooperation with our company. They purchased a full set of super duplex stainless steel pipe fittings—including elbows, pipe bends, and a concentric reducer—manufactured to ASTM A815 UNS S32750 (also known as 2507 super duplex), for use in demanding oil & gas and petrochemical pipeline systems. The goods were shipped via sea freight to the Port of Santos, Brazil.

The Brazilian client was drawn to our products by the exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of UNS S32750, a grade specifically engineered to withstand the chloride-rich, high-pressure environments commonly encountered in Brazil's offshore pre-salt oil production infrastructure and its extensive onshore refining and chemical processing facilities.

Brazil is home to some of the world's deepest offshore oil fields — the Campos and Santos Basins — where pipeline fittings must endure highly aggressive process fluids, high temperatures, and considerable mechanical stress.

UNS S32750's duplex austenite-ferrite microstructure, with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) exceeding 40, makes it the material of choice for such critical applications. The client was particularly satisfied with the combination of high yield strength and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking that our fittings provided.

During the entire fulfillment process, we strictly followed the delivery schedule agreed upon with the client and arranged safe transportation of all goods by sea to the Port of Santos. All fittings were carefully packaged to prevent any damage during the long transoceanic voyage from China to South America. The client expressed great satisfaction with the smooth and professional handling of the shipment, noting that timely delivery was critical to their project schedule.

To further assure quality, we provided the client with full material test reports (MTRs), third-party inspection certificates, and compliance documentation confirming conformance to ASME B16.9 dimensional standards and ASME B16.25 butt weld end preparation requirements. These certifications gave the client full confidence that each fitting met the international standards required for use in certified pressure piping systems. The client appreciated this additional layer of assurance as a reflection of our rigorous commitment to quality management.

In addition to the exceptional material properties, the client also expressed appreciation for the comprehensive support services provided throughout the transaction. Our technical team worked closely with the procurement engineers to confirm specifications, clarify standard interpretations, and ensure all dimensional tolerances were strictly observed. From first inquiry to final delivery at Santos, the client experienced a seamless, professional process that reinforced their confidence in choosing us as their supplier for high-specification piping components.

Why Do Brazilian Customers Choose Our ASTM A815 UNS S32750 Super Duplex Fittings?

Outstanding Corrosion Resistance for Tropical and Offshore Environments

Brazil's industrial pipeline infrastructure faces some of the harshest corrosion challenges in the world. The pre-salt offshore oil fields of the Santos and Campos Basins produce fluids with high chloride content, CO₂, and H₂S — all highly corrosive to standard stainless steels.

Our UNS S32750 fittings, with a PREN greater than 40, offer exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Even in Brazil's humid tropical coastal climate, where atmospheric corrosion is a constant concern for exposed pipeline infrastructure, UNS S32750 outperforms conventional grades by a significant margin.

Full ASME Standards Compliance

All fittings in this order were manufactured and tested in strict accordance with internationally recognized ASME standards — ASME B16.9 for factory-made wrought butt-welding fittings, and ASME B16.25 for butt-weld end preparations.

These are the governing standards required by Brazil's industrial procurement specifications and are consistently demanded by Petrobras-aligned engineering projects and EPCs operating in the country. Our fittings arrive fully certified and ready for integration into certified pressure piping systems without additional qualification.

Rich Product Selection Across Sizes and Schedules

This order included fittings ranging from DN 2in to DN 12in across multiple geometries — 45° long radius elbows, 90° long and short radius bends, and a concentric reducer — all in Schedule 40S wall thickness. Our manufacturing capabilities cover a broad range of sizes, schedules, and configurations in UNS S32750, ensuring that clients can source complete, matched fitting assemblies from a single, reliable supplier rather than managing multiple sources.

High-Quality Products with Full Traceability

We maintain a strict quality management system throughout production. Every batch of UNS S32750 fittings undergoes chemical composition verification, mechanical testing, dimensional inspection, and non-destructive examination as required. Full material traceability from raw material heat to finished fitting is maintained and provided with each shipment.

Brazilian engineering clients, particularly those working on Petrobras-regulated projects, rely on this level of documentation to satisfy their own internal QA and third-party audit requirements.

Excellent Service and Reliable Logistics to Brazil

We have extensive experience managing sea freight shipments to South American ports, including the Port of Santos — Brazil's largest and busiest container port. Our logistics team coordinates all export documentation, customs paperwork, and shipping schedules to ensure on-time arrival without unnecessary port delays.

The client in this case was highly satisfied with the professionalism and responsiveness of our service team throughout the entire procurement lifecycle.
